Our colleagues Marina Villalonga, Gonzalo Cantero Puig, and Carmen Arjona García attended the European Blockchain Convention, held in Barcelona on October 16–17. Recognized as one of Europe’s leading blockchain and Web3 events, the convention brought together more than 5,000 industry professionals, innovators, and policymakers to discuss the latest developments shaping the digital economy — from tokenization and digital assets to AI, DeFi, and regulatory frameworks.
During the event, Marina Villalonga took part as a speaker in the session “Policy vs Progress: Can Regulation Keep Up with Innovation?”, where she shared insights on how regulation can evolve to support technological progress. She was joined by distinguished experts such as Tommaso Astazi (Blockchain for Europe), Matteo Alessandro (MKFintech Partners), Nicolas Louvet (Coinhouse), Claire Balva (Adan), and Mykolas Majauskas (Bybit), contributing to a rich debate on the balance between innovation and compliance in the blockchain ecosystem.
