Santiago Asensi was a guest lecturer at the of Advanced Course in Sports Betting organised by the Católica Lisbon Law School. The course which brought together Sérgio Garcia Alves (OAB/DF) of Brazil with leading practitioners from Macau, Europe and the USA, was organized by Pedro Cortéz, managing parter at Rato, Ling, Lei & Cortés in Macau.
Santiago’s theme was “The perfect model of regulation for online gaming”. Drawing on his experience advising regulators in Spain and Colombia, he set out the ideal process and the most important decisions lawmaker must take when they are launching new regulation of online gaming and gambling.
