Santiago Asensi is the Managing Partner and Founder of Asensi Abogados, a firm specialising in gambling, gaming and Tech law. Prior to founding the firm, he was the legal director of the Maltese operator Eurogaming. He is a lawyer specialising in gambling law, regulation, contract law and litigation for online and land-based operators, as well as for other players in the sector in Spain.
He has been recognised as a Band 1 lawyer in the Gaming & Gambling industry by Chambers & Partners (Global), which describes him as “a pioneer”, “a reference in gaming advice” and with “a solid reputation built over the years”.
He developed the first regulatory regime for online gambling in Colombia, considered a model by experts and widely imitated in Latin America. He is a senior member of the main international gambling law associations and participates as a regular speaker at international conferences.
